We decided to all dress up this year. Madalyn had wanted to be a cat since I asked her back in Aug. what she wanted to be this year. We finally found one that didn't look like a recital costume at the Halloween Store.CUTE CUTE CUTE! Miles and Dawson got their costumes at Old Navy. When Miles saw the dragon costume his eyes lit up. "I BE DAT!" And Dawson found a lion costume that fits his chunky cheeks. Don't worry he is all roar and no bite! 
Now Mama and Papa had to decide what to go as. At first we were going to go as "mom" and "dad" but how fun is that? SO off to Walgreen Madalyn and Papa went. At first Papa wanted us both to go as something scary. But I am still "mama" and didn't want to scary the poo out of my crew. SO Andy went as someone scary and he got a funny costume for me. This thing is hilarious! I got a lot of good laughs from people.
The Kelly's had a Haunted Shed this year and Miles was NOT a fan. We went in and he was holding my hand as the first "spook" jumped out at us. I, of course, scream out and jump away. Good one MAMA! I then say, "I am not very good at this scary stuff!" The "spook" laughed at this but not Miles. Then we went around the corner and there was a table saw with fake gore. This sent Miles into my arms where he proceeded to shake. Then I continue to walk us around the circle again instead of getting us OUT the exit and the "spook" jumped out at us again! Another good one by mama! Like I said I am just not good at the scary stuff. Miles was NOT a fan he didn't even think the "FUN" spider hanging over head was very "fun"!
Madalyn decided to go through with Izzy Kelly. SO when I found them at the exit is was comical when Izzy said, "Madalyn's hand was shaking the WHOLE time!" "I wasn't afraid but my hand was shaking because hers was!"
From the Haunted Shed we went to get some snacks and headed down to the basement.(That wasn't scary)Most people stayed outside because it was a beautiful night but little Delaney didn't want to miss the party and she was starting to get chilly outside.
We hung out with Aunt Kati in the basement as Madalyn went off to play with friends. Miles stayed close by as when ever a skeleton or monster walked by he screamed and ran to us. I guess the Haunted Shed wasn't a good idea.
Aunt Kati's costume was a hoot! Cam Kelly had a hard time even saying where Aunt Kati's dog was hiding! TOO FUNNY!
Thanks to Kati for hanging out with us and to G'ma and G'pa Montalbano for the costumes. And to the Kelly's for inviting us! Someday we will stay out late and stay for the adult version too!
