Sorry...that song totally jumped into my head when I thought about what to post today. And following my non-theme ways(we will see if it lasts)I picked the zoo trip to post about.

Andy had a WSCA meeting in Milwaukee this past weekend. It was an early meeting and only a couple of hours long. So we decided to make the best of it and bring the whole CREW along.

While Andy was at the meeting we went to target to get Dawson some new summer shoes...mostly because I grabbed two different sized shoes for the trip. Poor kid. I also found new towels and rugs for the new bathroom. The Crew and I were then going to visit Shannel. Shannel is battling more cancer stuff and wasn't really up for visitors. Please pray that she is up and at it again soon!

So the kids and I traveled around until 10AM when the Pet Store opened. This pet store ROCKS. We spent about an hour there and then went to pick Andy up.

Then we went to lunch so as to not have to buy lunch at the Zoo$$. After that we packed everyone up in the wagon and entered the zoo.


We had made a call to Abi earlier about us being in town and wondered if she was working at the zoo. She called back and was so excited to hear that we were at the zoo. Total surprise and it worked out really well as Abi was heading one of the Sea Lion shows and was able to "pick" Madalyn to help out! Maddee was sooooooo excited about being able to the STAR of the show! I picked a few of my favorites and will make a slide show with the rest from the day!!


PS Andy is home and doing pretty well. I was sure to keep up with the pain meds every 4-6 hours. The kids waking up all night long made it easy for me to remember to get the meds to him. He is up and on the CPM machine and getting ice right after that!
