Have I mentioned lately how much Madalyn loves to dance??!!! She is consumed by it!! She dances with her MP3 player, at the end of movies, and when she doesn't even know she is doing it!
This year we let her try out for competition and she made it! She will be competing in four EVENTS around the state. Each event is an extra charge and usually extra costume fees are needed but because she is so young they will be just using their recital costume this year.
Last night the teacher called the parents together to get more money out of us. Well at least that is what it felt like to me. Andy said it was lucky he was out with the rest of the CREW or he would have given the STINK EYE! (thanks for the smile-honey)The teacher is teaching Madalyn's class a PRODUCTION number now that those who sign up for it will be doing at the EVENTS we are all going to. CRAP. What have we gotten ourselves in to. We thought we were doing the right thing by letting her try out for competition and now they want us to sign her up for PRODUCTION. Production dances are with a bunch of different aged children. I imagine it is a sight to see and I am sure Madalyn would love it. Trouble is there is an additional fee for each event we go to and each costume.
Madalyn has already told us she doesn't want to play sports and while this is a great relief it doesnt' make money grow on trees. (sigh) I don't want to see her drop back down to the lower class. It would be tough to see this girl that has the love for dance to have to just take regular dance.
Thanks for letting me vent. I had a big post about this that was better put together and then the internet dropped and I lost it. Hope it makes sense!! UGH! And I had pictures to add but the internet is DUMB!!! Posting now before it BAILS again!! I will post photos at a later time...:(
