Wonderful Weekend

We had a fun weekend! It started out on Friday with my parents coming over to watch kids and Andy and I hanging out with Dave. It was nice to just sit and chat and watch movies and not have to run around after kids! I didn't feel real well after eating super though..shoooooot! Thanks Dave for a good time!

Then on Sat. my mom and I were going to take the kids to Cheese and Sausage Days in New London but boy oh boy was it WET out. SO we took 2 kids and went shopping. We got Delaney her first pair of shoes for her birthday and I got shoes for my birthday. I know I know it is a couple of months away yet but ya gotta make use of only having 2 kids with you! :) Thanks mom for a fun time!

Then on Sunday we went to church and then over to my parents house. The men folk took the pontoon out before the water got any lower and the weather any colder. Mom and I took the kids to the park while the guys were taking the boat out. They had a blast playing and riding their bikes on the tennis court. Then we headed back to the Laird house and Aunt Jen was there. So we sat outside and the kids swung for a bit and then we went in for pizza. YUM! Thanks mom and dad for lunch! :)

Well Andy got tickets to the Cubs game that was played at Miller Park. The fella that he originally was going to go with bailed on him so he was frantically trying to find someone else to go with him. And I knew it was a LONG shot but I asked my mom and dad if they would mind coming over to watch the kids so we didn't have to miss it. Because I am spoiled and my parents love me they said yes. So after we got the kids down for a nap we went home to let Otto out and gather things for the game. We were there early so we tailgated before the game. That was fun..I haven't tailgated in over 8 years! LOL THANKS MOM AND DAD!!

Via Andy:
"One little thing to add... Carlos Zambrano threw the first Cubs no-hitter since 1972. So we got to see a little bit of history in the process. It was great!!" "Another little thing to add... You'll have to ask Trish how she handles not getting a prime seat at TGI Fridays. :) "
