On Sunday we met Kati and Matt at the marina where there they keep their boat. It was an interesting sight watching us lug in 4 kids. We had everything AND the kitchen sink it felt like. We made it to the boat and Madalyn had to go potty. Matt got sick of waiting for a shower and rode home to take a quick one and Andy went to Shopko to get us some extra shorts. We didn't bring anything to go IN the water. DUH! Glad we did get some shorts because it was so hot and we were happy to be IN the water.
When everyone returned from where they were we headed out in the big boat. When Matt took off with any type of speed the nose of the boat went right up in to the air and there was a big hole in the water. Dawson was face backwards towards the hole. He wasn't a big fan and put the 'pout' lip on for a bit.
Soon he was fine and it was a short trip to Waverly. We got there and Matt got the boat closer to shore.(there is a word for it but I forget...shoot!)Anyways we anchored and Madalyn was IN the water right away. That girl was in the water the whole day!!! She is a fish! Once Miles found out that the bottom was like a "sandbox" he went in and enjoyed some play time also. Dawson was happiest in the boat and on the edge of the boat but you can hardly blame him "boat coats" aren't that comfortable at this age. 
Delaney loved the water and pretty much was puddling around the entire time the rest of us were. She took one little nap and then she was raring to go again!!
We met Dan, Sal, and Aunt Patti up on shore at Waverly for some food and drinks! Thanks again! It got really warm up there and soon we were in the water again. I can honestly say I was surprise how well our kids did with no nap and being out in the fresh air all day. I tried to keep up all sunscreen and did a horrible job on myself. Oh well! The kids are rather crisp also. But guess who wins for the most burnt? Take a guess....come on....yup...ANDY'S back is FRIED!!
We had a wonderful time! Thanks to Aunt Kati and Uncle Matt for having us. And thank to all the boating friends that played and put up with the littlest of the Monty Crew! Next time we want to come along KID FREE and really put our PARTY suits on. I hope there is enough weekends left in the summer for that! :)
P.S. I have no idea why blogger hates Kati's pictures but it always makes them small. I don't know if she has her camera set on smaller images or what but what you see if what you get. Unless someone else has any ideas...KIM?
