We had a very eventful weekend! And although it went past quickly we had a good one!
On Saturday, my parents came over around 8:30am to watch the CREW. Andy and I had a Discovery meeting at Pathways Church. We met the senior Pastor and many others seeking also. Many of the faces we saw on Sat. were the same people coming up to us on Sunday. We have been exploring churchs for a while now. And feel like we have found "home". We are excited about going and getting the kids involved with their faith journey. This church (building and people) have been so warm and welcoming! We are soon going to be partners at Pathways. I am truely excited to start this chapter in our lives. The Catholic church has been good to us but it just wasn't our fit!
Then on Sunday,Gpa Dan and Gma Sal came over to our house and brought lunch. That was a great treat! We were all happy to catch up! Then Andy's parents watched the kids for a few hours. Andy and I went shopping and to a movie. I can't even remember the last time we were at a movie. We went to see Juno. It was a funny flick about a 16 year old who gets Pregnant. It had some pretty deep points that I doubt many of the 13 year olds watching in the theater along with us would have understood. But we sure did! Thanks Dan and Sal for lunch and time away!!
After the movie, we headed home and got the kids dressed in their Packer attire and headed for my parents for the game. We got to see my parent's new kitchen walls. No wallpaper...crazy...I don't ever remember that kitchen without wallpaper. It looks wonderful and fresh. Mom and Dad also got a new TV which we were hoping to watch the game in HD but found it wasn't on a HD channel! Oh well! We ate like champs and just hung out! It was a good time. Thanks Mom and Dad for having us!
