Little Lady

Delaney went to get her ears pierced last night. She was a trooper...the lady started to do one ear and then decided it wasn't in the "right" spot and the needle had already started to go into her ear. She restarted and everything looks good, even the opps is healed up!


We figured we would take Delaney to do this the same time we took Madalyn in almost 5years ago. I don't remember Madalyn being so little but she was! :) The day after Madalyn got her first shots we took her in too!

Speaking of shots...imagine this!!

Monday I took ALL the kids in the Dr. and ALL of them got shots! Thank goodness my mom was able to assist.
Madalyn got her 5 year check up and the whole white Miles had this angry look on his face. He wasn't too pleased that Dr. Edwards was checking his sister out. It was too funny! Madalyn got 5 shots and she is now set for Kindergarten. She wont need any more "pokes" until she is 11. (Middle School...my GOD)She will of course, still be getting her flu shot every year but nothing like getting 5! OWEEE! I had to hold her top half to the table...it just never gets easier. Madalyn was freaked out because she went LAST and saw everyone else get stuck before her.

Miles went first because otherwise I KNEW he would have been paniced and VERY hard to hold down. He didn't know what hit him and before it even started it was over. He only got the flu shot so it wasn't too bad. Bad enough to get a piece of gum from Grandma Karen. We all know how much that boy LOVES gum! THANKS MOM!

Then Dawson went. He got 3 shots and was NOT happy about it. He took it all in stride though and Grandma Karen had a small piece of gum for him too. The look on his face when they stuck him was sooooooooooo sad. Poor little man!

Delaney went just before Madalyn and the deed was done. I cuddled her and handed her off to my mom so I could grab Madalyn before she ran out of the room. Delaney settled down with a NUK and we put her in her carseat where she feel into deep sleep. I guess that is how she escapes stress!

I was amazed on how smooth the whole thing went.

2 1/5 pieces of gum or so
And a few cries

By the time we were in the car and heading home the car was quiet! PHEW!!
